That all may know the truth…

What will it take to show the world Jesus?

It is a question I ponder on a regular basis…It is hard for my mind to wrap around the concept of reaching people all over the world, different cultures and languages! The amazing part of the gospel of Jesus is that is not just an “American” thing. It is the greatest story of all time. Jesus came and went through all that we as humans go through and lived a sinless life…then died for our sins on the cross because of His great love for us. wow…the world wants to know about this Savior named Jesus.

The kicker is this…they want someone to show Jesus to them.

In Matthew 9:37-38 it says:
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Jesus said this right after in v. 36 that He had compassion for the people. Jesus knew their state and knew they were helpless without a relationship with Him.

Wow…let that sink in…people are like sheep without a shepherd. The harvest is ready, people are all over Jacksonville that need a relationship with God…Are we prepared to work the fields?

It is a reminder to me that we this time on earth for a specific purpose. To reach people with Jesus. When we go to Heaven, there will be no need to share about Jesus…we are finished…we get to worship God for eternity! Amazing…

While we are here on earth…let us have compassion on people and be ready to share Jesus through our lifestyle and our words to them…

God loves you so much. He does not need your or me, but He wants us.
