Josh Robinson is a husband, brother, son, friend and student pastor. He is currently serving as the student minister at First Baptist Church of Ashford. His mission is to lead and equip students to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Growing up a pastor’s son, Josh was born in Oklahoma City, OK, yet moved around frequently during his childhood. In addition to OK, Josh also lived in North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. In 2003, Josh attended Toccoa Falls College to play basketball and baseball. However, only one semester was completed before the Lord led him to a small town in Florida called Graceville. There Josh enrolled at The Baptist College of Florida and served alongside his older brother, Jeff Robinson, as student pastor at Iron City Baptist Church.
During his time at BCF, Josh was actively involved in the school’s BCM ministry, athletics program and dorm ministry. He was also part of a traveling band called Here and There, in which he played bass guitar and led small group bible studies in several locations throughout the eastern United States. In the summer of 2006, Josh had the privelege of being a summer staffer for a LifeWay camp called Centrifuge. He performed skits, led small groups and played bass guitar in the worship band. In December 2006, Josh graduated from BCF with his Bachelor’s of Arts in Christian Education.
Currently, Josh is completing his Master’s of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Christian Leadership from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
In his personal time, Josh enjoys playing basketball, surfing, working out, playing XBox, fishing, and cruising in his jeep. But above all, he loves to spend time with his wife, Cassidy. They celebrate their first anniversary on June 14th, 2009.
