Great comment, “our call is to glorify God in all of our actions.” I think if we are doing that, we should shoot for our desires to make Jesus famous. Great thoughts. I will look up those songs.

Definitely a tough balance. Our call is to glorify Go in all of our actions. Yet in our pride it is easy to want people I hear your words or read your thoughts. Its especially hard when one knows that God has given a word. And longing to share that and want to encourage others. Hard balance. Background by Lecrae, I Can’t Play the Background by KB and Being Small by jimmy needham have been very helpful in being reminded of who we are called to be in the work God is using and guiding us to do.

Good to Great was assigned reading in one of my leadership classes in seminary. While I agree that there are much better books for church leaders to lean on. However, his research and conclusions on leaders has been very valuable to me as I continue to learn what it means to lead a team and be a leader myself. It’s a book I still keep on my shelf.

Just a simply tool to help them is a definite need. A lot of times a simple conversation with them about their student is a way to encourage them on to leading in the home.

One thing I’ve learned to do is to give parents simple tools to help them disciple their teenagers. I used to think the only way to equip parents was long seminars. Those are good in the right place, but I’ve learned there are a lot more parents who really do want to be spiritual leaders to their teenagers, but they just need a nudge and one or two good, simple tools to help them along.
