- This past week flew by!
- Had a good weekend: watched Cassidy play at a local arts show in downtown Dothan, AL on Thursday – she did great – Friday spent the day off and enjoyed myself
- The 1st annual “Turkey Bowl” was a huge success with over 175 folks coming out to spend time as families together. The dad’s beat the students in the flag football game 38-16! ouch! Next year the students will be playing for the win! It was a win for the church and for families to grow and have fun together.
- Pulled my back out pretty good last week – heading to get it adjusted today – I loathe lower back pain!
- Finishing up a two week series called “The Thin Green Line” – This Wednesday it will be on “grace receivers are to be grace givers” – Living a life of grace!
- We are heading to Nashville after Momentum on Wednesday night – I’m driving through the night (with the help of energy drinks) so that Cassidy can spend Thursday laying down scratch tracks for her new CD!
- Friday – heading to the National Youth Workers Convention in Atlanta, GA – looking forward to being challenged and learn something new to implement in the student ministry.
- Next week we are headed to visit family in Greenville, SC for Thanksgiving

- Had a good weekend - I’m blessed
- November is flying by!
- Sunday: Great time of worship with some great people. Small groups were great and I pray that God continues to shape the students into His likeness
- I’ve been helping coach the JV basketball team – we are 4-2 so far, we lost a close one tonight! Great times and plenty of teachable moments for the guys.
- Ready for a bunch of rain headed our way from the storm in the gulf! I miss the days when I could skip class in college and go surf before the storm comes.
- Starting a new series this Wednesday night called “The Thin Green Line” – Focus will be upon the issue of materialism. It will be a fun and challenging two week series.
- Please pray for my throat – it has been really tight for a little while and am praying for it to heal and loosen up.
- I love my wife! She is the best!
- Sunday recap: Great day of worship = great message, worship, small groups were awesome with the students, student leadership meeting was focused and a blast! Tim Flowers was ordained on Sunday evening – it was a special time to honor Him and God’s call on his life!
- Spent some quality time with my wonderful wife this past weekend – went on a date to Olive Garden (points for me!) and spent Saturday together just enjoying the day.
- Concert on Saturday night with Mercy Me and Fee was awesome! Great time of worship and focus on giving God all the glory!
- Excited about hanging out with my older brother, Jeff this coming weekend – we are going hunting and hope to find some prey! We don’t get to see each other as often due to ministry, so this will be a fun time hanging out. He will be preaching in Bainbridge, GA this coming Sunday.
- God has begun to provide for my wife, Cassidy to record her new album this coming December! I think it is going to rock and her music will minister to many people for Jesus.
- Looking forward to sharing with the students on, “Supernatural: Angels and Demons” this coming Wednesday night. With all the hype of Halloween beginning, I want students to understand the reality of spiritual warfare and that in the end – we win! Light always beats darkness.
- Feeling a little tired the past few days – not sure if it is just the time of year.
- Excited to help the coach and the JV basketball team at the local high school here in Ashford, AL. Praying that I can be a light to the students and teach them to be ballers‘!
- Had a busy – but good weekend.
- We had a special surprise birthday party for my sister-in-law, Courtney on Thursday night – Drove all the way to Jax for the night and visited.
- Drove to Ocala to visit my in-laws on Friday and Saturday and had a good visit.
- Sunday: great day of worship, great Q/A session with Tim Flowers for his upcoming ordination this coming Sunday night.
- It was cold this morning, around 35 degrees! It seems like it went straight from summer to winter.
- I’m excited about what God is doing in the student ministry! Praying for God to move this Wednesday nights and for student leaders to step up and build ownership of the ministry.
- Praying about more opportunities to reach the local high school for Christ – sports, serving teachers, etc.
- I love my wife!
- Today has been a tiring day – there is always something about Mondays!
- Lock-in: It was a success, over 70 students having a blast all night. One student came to know Christ! The worship band “Flying Backwards” played three times during the night and did a great job. Kevin Stone brought the message and did a great job explaining the gospel. Overall, it was a fun and productive time with the students. The adult leaders were awesome!
- Praying and saving up for Cassidy to record a new album in Nashville with a friend, Michael Spooner that has a new studio. We traveled together during college in a band and worked together at Centrifuge. We hope to record it during the Christmas holidays. You will want to own this new CD!
- FSU lost once again. I like Bobby Bowden. period. It might be time for him to retire, but I think Jimbo Fisher is not the answer to fix the Seminoles weak defense and indecisive offense. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid and have always respected Bobby Bowden for his character and love for God. He is one of the greatest coaches of all-time and I hope they beat the gators in November.
- My friend Richard Coe is now married! Enjoyed his wedding in Eufaula on Saturday – Praying that God blesses them!
- Thankful for FBC Ashford – Great staff and church family – I’m blessed.
